In the spirit of optimism, we host an annual bike ride on and around the Blue Ridge Parkway in southwest Virginia celebrating Chuck’s birthday, one kilometer for every year of his age. This gently rolling ride covers a quiet, rural stretch of the Parkway and side country roads, with several options for rides of lower distance than Chuck’s age. This year, as in years past, we will donate a dollar for every kilometer ridden by all riders to the Floyd County Public Library. The 2019 ride is on Sunday September 8.
